The Gasland screening and panel discussion event planned for Tuesday 7th Feb at 7pm in Ballycastle is getting bigger and more exciting!
Come along, see the movie, hear the speakers, get your questions answered, and find out what the ‘fracking’ fuss is all about!
Confirmed guest speakers now are:
– MLA Steven Agnew, Leader of the Green Party in Northern Ireland (who successfully got a yes vote from the Northern Ireland Assembly on a motion for a moratorium on fracking…which the Executive has yet to act on)
– Moyle Councillor Donal Cunningham, SDLP (who successfully got a motion, to oppose fracking, unanimously passed by Moyle District Council last year)
– Niall Bakewell, Friends of the Earth, Northern Ireland
– Jim Donaghy, (our very own) ‘No To Fracking’ North Coast group against fracking
A discussion panel will include local elected representatives:
– North Antrim MLA Daithi McKay (SF)
– Chairperson of Moyle District Council (MDC) Cllr Padraig Mc Shane (Ind)
– Vice-Chairperson of MDC Cllr Sandra Hunter (UUP)
– MDC Cllr Cara McShane (SF)
– MDC Cllr Robert McIlory (DUP) (hopefully)
All North Antrim MLAs have been invited to participate.
